Our research interests are:
- Studying the classical biochemical and nutritional determinants in incidence of type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome in the PREDIMED.
- Evaluating the effect of nut consumption on inflammation and glucose metabolism.
- Evaluating the effect of the glycemic load diet on adiposity, inflammation and insulin resistance, the mechanisms involved in tissue.
- Studying the prevalence of the metabolic syndrome in Latin America and its environmental determinants.
- Evaluating the effect of the satiety on weight loss and maintenance.
