Organitza: The Association for International Cancer Research (AICR) has published the 2013 calls research grants. About: The objectives of AICR are to promote, conduct and support research and surveys in cancer, its possible causes and its effects (physical, social or otherwise), and to promote publication of useful results of such research. Aim of the call: AICR awards grants to support fundamental or translational research into the causes, mechanisms, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer. AICR does not support clinical research. AICR will consider applications that include some clinical research in a project which is mostly basic or translational. However, completely clinical applications, such as intervention studies, clinical trials or health care delivery research are beyond the remit of AICR.

Organitza: Clinic and Laboratory Integration Programa (CLIP) - The Cancer Research Institute Eligibility guidelines CLIP Grants provide funding for qualified scientists who are working to explore clinically relevant questions aimed at improving the effectiveness of cancer immunotherapies. The grant will support basic, pre-clinical, and translational research, which will provide information that can be directly applied to optimizing cancer immunotherapy in the clinic. Candidates for a CLIP Grant must hold a faculty appointment as a tenure-track assistant professor (or higher rank) at the time of award activation. CRI has no citizenship restrictions, and research supported by the award may be conducted at medical schools and research centers in the United States or abroad. Please note that CLIP Grants do not support research at for-profit institutions. Financial information: CLIP Grants provide up to $100,000 per year for two years. The funds may be used for salary, technical assistance, supplies, capital equipment, or scientific travel. CRI does not provide funds for indirect costs. Payments are made quarterly in U.S. currency to the host institution. The process for applying for a CLIP Grant consists of two parts: Letter of Intent-->Invited Application

Organitza: Convocatòria d’ajuts 2013 de la Fundació Pedro i Pons per a estudis o projectes fora de Catalunya. Els ajuts, destinats a estades fora de Catalunya, preferentment a l'estranger, per dur a terme estudis de postgrau, alts estudis musicals, de composició i cant, estan oberts als llicenciats o graduats de dotze ensenyaments de la Universitat de Barcelona (Biologia, Farmàcia, Filologia, Filosofia, Física, Geografia i Història, Geologia, Matemàtiques, Medicina, Pedagogia, Psicologia i Química). L'edat màxima per sol·licitar-los és de 40 anys. Les sol·licituds es poden presentar des del 16 de juliol fins al 31 d'octubre. Es poden consultar les bases de la convocatòria dels ajuts i descarregar-ne el formulari des del web de la Fundació Pedro i Pons.
