Alzheimer’s Research UK- Clinical Research Fellowships

Alzheimer’s Research UK has a large number of different grant schemes through which you can apply for funding.  Our Clinical Research Fellowships are for up to three years and provide salary (SpR, registrar level, or on equivalent university scales) and a contribution towards research/travel costs. These costs are normally for up to £10,000 per annum but ARUK will consider requests for up to £15,000 per annum if there is sufficient justification with inherently costly research (eg imaging, animal work). The scheme is suitable for Clinical Psychiatrists, Clinical Neurologists, Clinical Psychologists and similar specialists.

Prospective Fellows must have secured a supervisor (a senior established investigator in the institution where the Fellowship is to be held). The supervisor will provide the facilities required for the research programme, will have oversight of the Fellow and their research programme, and will actively contribute to the further training of the Fellow. The Fellowship must be applied for by the prospective Fellow, not the supervisor. There are two application rounds each year.
