The AXA Research Fund is pleased to inform you that the Call for Applications for the 2014-2015 Junior Research Fellowships will open Wednesday, October, 15th 2014. This year again, the AXA Research Fund will grant 30 Fellowships for an individual amount of 120,000€ over 2 years.

As for last year, the international peer review evaluation is carried out by an AXA Research Fund partner, the European Science Foundation (ESF). ESF is an independent, non-governmental organization dedicated to pan-European Scientific network and collaboration. ESF carries out the review using AXA Research Fund’s criteria, under the supervision of the Scientific Board of the AXA Research Fund.

The 2014-2015 Junior Research Fellowship Campaign will be organized in three rounds:

·        1^stround – Institutions Selection: Institutions announce on AXA Research Fund’s platform their intent to propose candidates for the campaign, specify the anticipated research field(s) in which they are looking for support (from 1 to 12) and submit a description of strengths and characteristics of the Institution. Institutions will then be informed of the number of applicants they may propose (between 0 and 4).This round will close on November, 10^th.No applications will be accepted after this date. Please make sure your institution applies if you are willing to submit an application.

·        2^ndround – Light Individual Proposals: Operational Contacts of selected Institutions will be provided with a direct link to the ESF application platform to deposit the names of their candidates (before December, 8^th). Named candidates will then receive a login and password. This year, they will be able to submit immediately their outline proposal on the ESF platform (before December, 15^th).

·        3^rdround – Full Proposals: If preselected, candidates will then be invited to submit a full proposal on the ESF application website (from February, 20^th). In parallel with the academic review of their proposal, they will be interviewed by AXA Experts in order to evaluate their capacity to share and popularize their research with non-academics. Final resultswill bemade public on the 10^thof June 2015.

 ·         November 4^th, 2014, from 2pm to 3pm;

·         November 7^th, 2014, from 10am to 11am.
